Guadalupe is a magical town that is a part of a UNESCO world heritage site within the metropolitan area of the state capital of Zacatecas, Mexico. It’s the most populous in the state. It was founded and quickly developed upon the discovery of mines in the area, and was a city where the Father of the Nation The Reverend General Miguel Hidalgo and President Benito Juárez stayed in during their respective wars.
Jerez de García Salinas, Zacatecas, Mexico
Jerez de García Salinas is a small magical town in Zacatecas, Mexico, named after a Spanish conquerer from Spain, originally inhabited by indigenous people. The Spanish founded the city to protect the route between Guadalajara and Zacatecas from native attacks. It’s known for the invention of tamborazo music.
La Quemada, Zacatecas, Mexico
La Quemada is an archaeological site in Zacatecas, Mexico that is sometimes believed to be the mythical origin of 7 Mexica tribes. It remains unclear about much of its history, but due to the mineral wealth in the region, it was believed to be a supplier and later a place of exchange.
